Straight Cash, Homey: NES Mock Draft Contest
by Matt Miller
We’ve done well this year as a website, and because of that we’d like to give a little back to you the reader. We’re hosting our first ever Mock Draft Contest, with a $25 cash prize for first place. Second place gets… nothing. Click the link for rules/regulations.To participate you must be signed up for the NES Forum. Your user name on the forum will be your identity for the contest. Here are the rules:
-Full 1st round mock
-Anyone can enter after they register for a user name on the message board.
-No trades, if a pick is traded it will be counted as whether or not the right player was selected in that spot.
-Submissions made by email to matt@newerascouting.com. Submissions must be in by 11 p.m. the night before the draft.
-Prize includes the cash reward ($25) and bragging rights over the whole message board.
-A point will be counted for every correct pick. 1 point per pick, 31 possible points.
-In the event of a tie the first tie breaker will be who had the most picks of the top 10 correct.
-In the event of a tie after the first tie breaker the scores will be calculated using a point of value specific to each pick. 1 point for the 1st pick, 2 points for the 2nd pick, 3 points for the 3rd pick, and so on. Point values increase as they go up because later picks can be harder to guess.
Prizes will be awarded in the form of a Paypal transfer.
Two shameless plugs: We’re hiring. We’re paying, even. E-mail Matt Miller if you’re interested in becoming a college football scout. Plug two is that our free NFL Draft guide is coming out in the next two weeks. Also e-mail that Miller guy if you want one.
Make money, get things for free and enjoy the next three weeks!
Let the games begin.
