Eddie Poole of Bethune-Cookman goes one on one.

Scott Porter: What do you feel are your greatest strengths?

Eddie Poole: I have great size and I am a deep threat. I have terrific ball skills. In the NFL it is difficult to get separation and I feel I get good separation and you can throw the ball up in traffic and depend on me to go up and make the tough catch.

Scott Porter: What are your goals for the NFL?

Eddie Poole: My main goal right now is just to get that opportunity in the NFL. I want to get the opportunity and show a team what I can do. I want to prove how much I love the game. A goal of mine is to day in and day out put 100% effort into not only games but each practice too. I just want that opportunity to work hard and put 100% into it and to prove to a team I belong on an NFL roster.

Scott Porter: Is there a player in the NFL that you compare yourself to or maybe a player that reminds you of yourself?

Eddie Poole: I don’t like to compare myself to an NFL player. I don’t want to disrespect anyone because I am not in the NFL yet. I want to just prove that I am NFL capable. I have been told that I remind many of A.J. Green because of our frames being similar and our ability to stretch the field as a big WR.

Scott Porter: What hobbies do you have off the field?

Eddie Poole: I love to rabbit hunt. I love waking up and rabbit hunting where I am from. I like watching movies and watching football and basketball when I am not playing football. I like to relax and just go with the flow.

Scott Porter: What type of person is an NFL team getting in Eddie Poole?

Eddie Poole: They are getting someone who loves the game of football and plays with a lot of heart. They are getting someone who they don’t have to question my morals nor my work ethic. I understand what it takes to be a professional and I will do the right things to improve as a player and a person each and every day. I always walk around with a smile on my face and I bring a lot of positive energy to my teammates and coaches.

Scott Porter: What are your biggest football accomplishments?

Eddie Poole: Being part of a championship team. We had a lot of success at Bethune-Cookman as a team. We played in a tough conference and winning the Championship was a great accomplishment. As an individual I broke the school record for most consecutive games with a catch. I caught a pass in every single game I played in for a total of 48 straight games.

Scott Porter: What are you looking forward to the most about your opportunity in the NFL?

Eddie Poole: I am looking forward to the change in the lifestyle. I am looking forward to doing what it takes to make myself a better professional and learning and developing.

Scott Porter: What will you miss most about college football?

Eddie Poole: That is a tough question. There is a lot I will miss about college football. I will miss the relationships with the fans. I am not sure how it will be in the NFL but these fans here are great and playing for your University and representing the entire school has been a lot of fun.

Scott Porter: Where will you be training and what will you be working on?

Eddie Poole: I am working out for Cooper sports in Florida. It has been a great experience so far. I just started and I am working on my speed, explosion and all of the little things to prepare me. Cooper sports has been a great learning environment and I really enjoy working with the guys here, they have been great so far.
