Joe Gaiter: What does football mean to you?

Deveric Gallington:  It gives me an opportunity to display my god given abilities. It has also helped me obtain a college degree which is huge.

Joe Gaiter: Where are you from?

Deveric Gallington:  I was born in Amarillo Tx, and raised in North Richland Hills Tx

Joe Gaiter: When did you start playing football?

Deveric Gallington:  I started playing football in the 8th grade.

Joe Gaiter: What made you chose Texas Tech after being a highly decorated high-school senior with athletic multiple awards?

Deveric Gallington: It was a Texas school, they are known for great offense, the campus was really nice as well.

Joe Gaiter: What will you miss most about playing at  Texas Tech?

Deveric Gallington: The gameday atmosphere!

Joe Gaiter: What are the keys to playing your position?

Deveric Gallington: Film study, strength, knowledge of the game, and hand placement.

Joe Gaiter: Do you have a backup plan if you don’t get drafted?

Deveric Gallington: Yes, Working with children.

Joe Gaiter: What player in the NFL has your style of play?

Deveric Gallington:  I really enjoy watching the Pouncey twins. I try to model my game after them.

Joe Gaiter: What are your biggest strengths on the field?

Deveric Gallington: I’m very smart, I watch tons of film on my opponent to give me the upper hand and my strength & footwork.

Joe Gaiter: What is your motivation for playing football?

Deveric Gallington: I want to provide for my family.

Joe Gaiter: What are the keys to play your position on the field?

Deveric Gallington: Understanding your opponents weaknesses and strengths

Joe Gaiter: How do you plan on giving back to the community after you get drafted?

Deveric Gallington:  I plan to visit childrens hospitals as I did when I was at Texas Tech. Also spending time with the less fortunate.

Joe Gaiter: How would your friends describe you off the field?

Deveric Gallington: That  I am quiet, humble, and hard working.

Joe Gaiter: When is your pro-day and combine and how are you preparing?

Deveric Gallington: It was on March 6th. I trained at CrossFit in Ft Worth, Tx 6 days a week.

Joe Gaiter: Do you think your hard work will pay off?

Deveric Gallington: I believe so.

Joe Gaiter: What do you want your football legacy to be?

Deveric Gallington: That I work hard and never gave up.
