He has plenty of experience and has proved himself to be durable starting all but one game (freshmen season) of his college football career at Toledo.
Joe Gaiter: Who is John Morookian?
John Morookia: John Morookian is student of the game who plays every second of a play the hardest he can play. A tough football player that plays through injuries and tries to go beyond what is asked of him by all of his coaches. It’s all about exceeding the expectations you set for yourself.
Joe Gaiter: How will you prove yourself on the field?
John Morookian: I will have to play every play like its my last. When you come into NFL you have to realize it’s a business and everyone is looking for a job it is about opening up people eyes to see what you can bring to make the team better that you are playing for.
Joe Gaiter: What goals do you have for the NFL?
John Morookian:To make an active roster this year and years come. Contribute to the success of a team in what every way I can.
Joe Gaiter: What are some of your accomplishments ?
John Morookian: I started every game but my first game as a true freshman and displayed what it is to come into a competitive program and contribute for four years as a division 1 football player.
Joe Gaiter: What are your biggest strengths on the field?
John Morookian: I believe they are rising to every challenge, going against some of the best defensive ends in the nation and playing at a high level. I believe I have good foot work and display a physical force when I am on the field.
Joe Gaiter: Who has been your biggest influence in your football career?
John Morookian: Probably my offensive line coach now head Coach Matt Cambell he has truly taught me what it is to be a man and a better person
Joe Gaiter: Who in the NFL has your style of play?
John Morookian: I believe every team has my physical style of play but if I had to pick one coach to play for it would have to be Coach Belichick for the New England Patriots. No one can deny what he has brought to the game.
Joe Gaiter: What is the hardest part about playing your position?
John Morookian: It probably is being able to consistently audible the protection of the line by reading rotation of safeties and blitz tendencies by different opposing teams
Joe Gaiter: How will you elevate your skills to a NFL level?
John Morookian: I believe everyone one has to get better to come into the league and compete at that high of a level but I feel as though I possess the proper mindset to come into work on a daily basis and compete.
Joe Gaiter: What will you miss the most about playing at Toledo?
John Morookian: I will miss the family that I have grown to love at the University of Toledo all the players as well as the coaches that I have developed great relationships with.
