Scott Porter: What do you feel are your greatest accomplishments?
Dorvus Woods: I think being part of the Arkansas State family. We grew together as a family and played as a team. As we started off here we grew together and accomplishments things together as a family.
Scott Porter: What do you feel are your greatest strengths?
Dorvus Woods: My quickness. I feel I have a very good first step off the ball.
Scott Porter: What are your goals for the next level?
Dorvus Woods: Right now I have no personal goals other than making a team and producing wherever I end up at. I want to be part of a winning team and contribute to that. My ultimate goal is to win the Super Bowl.
Scott Porter: Is there a player in the NFL you enjoy watching and picking tips up from?
Dorvus Woods: I really enjoy watching Trent Cole of the Eagles. I have been watching a lot of film on him and picking up things from him to add into my game and help me become a better player.
Scott Porter: What areas of your game will you be focusing on to become a better player?
Dorvus Woods: I will be focusing on my technique. I think that will really help me out with combine drills. I will continue to focus on my 40 time, my shuttle and bench press. Basically doing everything I can to get ready for my pro day and combine. I want to work on getting low off the ball and shedding blocks faster.
Scott Porter: What hobbies do you have away from the field?
Dorvus Woods: I like to play games. I like spending my time with family. Really there isn’t much after that. Chillin with my family and playing a ton of games is what I do to keep my mind off football.
Scott Porter: What do you feel is the toughest part about playing your position?
Dorvus Woods: I would say taking on constant double teams and trying to make plays with two guys on you all of the time. You need to adjust and work on different techniques depending on the circumstances that you are going up against.
Scott Porter: What will you be doing from now until draft time to prepare yourself?
Dorvus Woods: I am working with Andy McCloy and Body Creations right now. We are working on drills that will be done during the combine and pro day. I am working hard to get those polished up. I have my pro day and the combine coming up also that I am really looking forward to.
Scott Porter: What are your looking forward to the most about your opportunity in the NFL?
Dorvus Woods: Well, I have been watching football at a very young age. Seeing my favorite players growing up it is really amazing to think I could be in that same situation soon. It is really a dream come true. It has always been my dream and now I am looking forward to being able to help my family and friends. I want others to be able to look up to me and know that they can make it like I did. I am looking forward to proving myself at the next level.
