Joe Gaiter: Who is Conredge Collins?

Conredge Collins: I’m a person who has been through a lot but strong enough to get back up. I’m a hard work and a man of strong character but I like to have fun.

Joe Gaiter: How will you prove yourself on the field?

Conredge Collins: Right now I have to show people that I haven’t missed a beat. Being out for two seasons, I show teams that I still have good footwork for my size. And that my hands still work well and I still know the game.

Joe Gaiter: What NFL player has your style of play

Conredge Collins: Payton Hillis he is a great back.

Joe Gaiter: What goals do you have for the NFL?

Conredge Collins: As of right now, just getting back into the NFL is my main goal. Once I get my feet wet then I’ll set new ones.

Joe Gaiter: What are your hobbies off the field?

Conredge Collins: I like to listen to music, hang with my friends and family. I like to fish and I spend a lot of time with my dog “Mojo” when I’m home.

Joe Gaiter: What is your biggest strengths on the field?

Conredge Collins: For my size and power I don’t lack the foot work. I can move like an RB even though I’m bigger than most. That means a lot for my game because I’m jus not a one dimensional back. I can block like a FB, catch like a RB and move like ARB and also stay in on third down for pass protection.

Joe Gaiter: What is the hardest part about playing your FB/RB?

Conredge Collins: The hardest thing about playing two positions is that you have to know what both backs are doing at all times. Sometimes it’s double the plays for me, but I did it for 3 years so it became easier over time.

Joe Gaiter: How will you elevate your skills to a NFL level?

Conredge Collins: I will do that by “never settling” and never being “Satisfied” in my game. Trying to get better everyday and always knowing handwork pays off. I think I will be fine.

Joe Gaiter: What will you miss the most about playing at University of Pittsburgh?

Conredge Collins: I miss the bond with the guys. I met a lot of great people at Pitt. We were a family and I had a lot of great memories on and off the field.

Joe Gaiter: Who has been your biggest influence in your football career?

Conredge Collins: First, I believe God is the biggest. I’ve been through a lot this past year and a half and without him showing me different things I wouldn’t be as strong as I am today. I am the second biggest influence because no one is running my laps for me. No one is making me get up in the am to train. No wants it more for me than myself.
