Joe Gaiter: Who was your biggest inspiration and influence?

Esteban Santiago:My parents are my biggest influence. I know how hard they work for my family and its unbelievable. They work long days and are still able to give all of their children the support they need. They are the reason I’m here today and play the way I play. I am truly grateful and blessed for that.

Joe Gaiter: What is the hardest part about playing your position?

Esteban Santiago: Hardest part of playing offensive guard is having to be 100% aware all the time. Being able to see blitzes as they form, recognizing fronts and stances are all things guards have to do while going against the biggest and in some cases the best players on the team.

Joe Gaiter: Who is Esteban Santiago?

Esteban Santiago: Esteban Santiago is the middle child of three and the son of very supportive and hardworking parents. He is hard working, dedicated and loyal.

Joe Gaiter:How will you prove yourself on the field?

Esteban Santiago: I will prove myself on the field by knowing my team roles and by going full-speed all of the time no matter what.

Joe Gaiter: What are some hobbies you like doing off the field?

Esteban Santiago: My hobbies off the field include: hanging out with friends, playing video games and listening to music.

Joe Gaiter: Your biggest strength on the field is what?

Esteban Santiago: I believe my strongest strengths on the field are my feet and the ability to play both guard and tackle.

Joe Gaiter: What is the hardest part about playing your position?

Joe Gaiter: How will you elevate your skills to a NFL level?

Esteban Santiago: I’ll elevate my skills to a NFL level by playing hard and intense every play. The only way you can become a better football player is by going agiainst the best and in the NFL they are the best of the best. Being around athletes like that can only make a person better.

Joe Gaiter: What will you miss most about University of North Texas?

Esteban Santiago:I will miss my friends the most. I have met people I will never forget.

Joe Gaiter: Which NFL player has your style of play?

Esteban Santiago: The NFL player I beleive has a similar playing style to me would have to be Chris Kemoeatu #68 of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He goes all out all day and is exciting to watch.

Joe Gaiter: What are your goals when you are in the NFL?

Esteban Santiago: My goals for the NFL would be first to make a squad. Then making sure I am productive on the field by knowing all assignments and playing aggressively.
