Joe Gaiter: Who is Prathon Wilkerson?

Prathon Wilkerson: Prathon Wilkerson is a humble southern country boy from Statesboro GA that loves Jesus Christ and has a unexplainable passion for football. I love everything about football and the life lesson I’ve learned from playing football.

Joe Gaiter:How will you prove yourself on the field?

Prathon Wilkerson:I will prove myself on the field by working hard off the field by training, eating right, watching film, and learning from veterans that play or have played my position.

Joe Gaiter: What goals do you have for the NFL?

Prathon Wilkerson:My goals for the NFL are to win a Super Bowl, be listed as one of the top cornerbacks, and become a Hall Of Famer.

Joe Gaiter:What are your hobbies off the field?

Prathon Wilkerson:My hobbies off the field are cooking, playing madden, listening to music, and playing with my dog DUKE.

Joe Gaiter:What is your biggest strengths on the field?

Prathon Wilkerson:My biggest strengths on the field are my ability to play all coverages, my technique, my ability to tackle, my understanding of the game, and my unteachable instinct.

Joe Gaiter: What is the hardest part about playing corner back?

Prathon Wilkerson:The hardest part about playing cornerback is not knowing what route the WR is going to run.

Joe Gaiter:How will you elevate your skills to a NFL level?

Prathon Wilkerson:I will elevate my skills to a NFL level by working on all phases of my game so I can play at a consistant high level. I feel like I always have to improve and I’m never satisfied with being average. I always strive for perfection.

Joe Gaiter: What will you miss the most about playing at Albany State?

Prathon Wilkerson:What I will miss the most about playing at Albany State are my teammates we have a special bond on and off the field especially that DIRTY BLUE DEFENSE!

Joe Gaiter:Who has been your biggest influence in your football career?

Prathon Wilkerson:My biggest influences in my football career would be my mother Sharmane, and Uncle Homer they always speak positive and encourage me.

Joe Gaiter:What NFL player has your style of play?

Prathon Wilkerson:I feel like I have traits from Champ Bailey because of how smooth he is, Darrelle Revis because how I play man coverage, and Asante Samuel because of my ability to bait the quarterback in zone coverage.
