Scott Porter: What do you feel are your biggest football accomplishments?

Cobrani Mixon: I think individually being named All MAC first team for two years in a row as well as being invited to play in the Eastham Energy All-Star game. As far as team accomplishment I think beating Akron this year. It was the first time while I was here that we beat Akron and it was a pretty important win for us.

Scott Porter: What do you feel are your greatest strengths?

Cobrani Mixon: My knowledge of the game. I study and break down a lot of film and it makes me a step ahead of everyone. I am well prepared and know what to expect and where people line up so I can react better. I also have a lot of experience and play the run well as well as getting off blocks are my greatest strengths.

Scott Porter: What do you feel is the toughest part about playing LB?

Cobrani Mixon: I think a tough part is that we have to be expected to stop the run and pass equally. Other positions focus mainly on one areas whereas LB’s have to focus on both equally.

Scott Porter: What are your goals for the NFL?

Cobrani Mixon: Obviously making a team is my first goal. I just want to contribute right away, excel on special teams and eventually start.

Scott Porter: What hobbies do you have off the field?

Cobrani Mixon: Bowling, fishing, and hanging out with my friends. I do a little of everything. I like to golf although I hope to get better at it.

Scott Porter: Which NFL player reminds your of yourself and why?

Cobrani Mixon: Ray Lewis due to his passions and knowledge of the game. He gets his teammates involved and pumps everyone up. They all feed off of him and I feel I bring that same ability to a team.

Scott Porter: Do you have any pregame rituals?

Cobrani Mixon: I always sit by myself before I gather around the team. I also watch a lot of Ray Lewis on youtube to get me pumped up for the game.

Scott Porter: Who has been your biggest influence?

Cobrani Mixon: I would say my mother has been my biggest influence. When I was thinking about transferring from Michigan my mom stayed by my side the entire time and supported me. She has always let me make my own decisions and has supported me throughout my life. She doesn’t let me quit until I finish something.
