Scott Porter: What do you feel are your greatest strengths?
Cortez Allen: My character, size, speed, and athleticism. I think given my size I move very well for a taller corner.
Scott Porter: What are your goals for the NFL?
Cortez Allen: To contribute immediately on defense and on special teams.
Scott Porter: Which NFL cornerback reminds you of yourself and why?
Cortez Allen: I would say Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie because I am physical in press and can run. Also I am pretty raw as a player, as I have only been playing football for 5yrs, one in high school and 4 in college.
Scott Porter: What are your greatest football accomplishments?
Cortez Allen: Being invited to the East West Shrine game and The NFL Combine.
Scott Porter: Who has been your biggest influence throughout your career and why?
Cortez Allen: I have had many influences throughout my career. First I would say my family and all the support that they have given me over the years. Coach Aashon Larkins, he was very instrumental in helping me to see my potential and taping into it. Former teammate Andre Roberts with him being kind of a front runner for our graduating class and his success in the league as well as the time going against him over the years.
Scott Porter: What type of a person is an NFL team getting off the field in Cortez Allen?
Cortez Allen: Great Character. I pride myself in maintain a good name. I am very respectful. I’m not a guy that you have to second guess if he is going to do the right thing or not.
Scott Porter: What are you looking forward to the most about your opportunity in the NFL?
Cortez Allen: I’m looking forward to competing with the best in the world and showing that I belong.
Scott Porter: What are your hobbies off the field?
Cortez Allen: I’m the adventure type I like to try new things but mostly I’m just chilling probably playing Call of Duty Black-Ops.
Scott Porter: What is your favorite food?
Cortez Allen: Grandma’s Mac-Cheese! Hands down favorite food. I’m huge on all thing with cheese on it.
Scott Porter: If you could pick any profession away from football what would it be and why?
Cortez Allen: A professional Mac and Cheese taster. I am kidding but Seriously I would probably train others trying to go pro or be a personal trainer.
