Scott Porter: Who has been your biggest influence throughout your career?

Frantrell Forrest: My biggest influence has got to be my parents. My mom has battled three different types of cancer and has won all three. She had leukemia, breast and hotchkins cancer. Seeing how strong she is and the battle she faced and won is just such an inspiration to me. She is the reason I have such a strong drive. Nothing compares on the field to what she has gone through. She is the strongest person in the world in my eyes. My dad has always been there for me. They both give me my strength to play the game and play with the motivation I have today.

Scott Porter: What hobbies do you have off the field?

Frantrell Forrest: My hobbies off the field consist of buying DVD’s, I love movies. I watch a lot of movies. I like going to the movies. I like working hard in the weight room and spending a lot of time in the weight room at night. I love eating at Joe’s Crab Shack when I can.

Scott Porter: What are you looking forward to most about your chance at making an NFL roster?

Frantrell Forrest: I can’t wait for teams to see what I can do in the NFL at UAB I didn’t have an oppourtunity to show the world what I was made of. I wasn’t on TV and I wasn’t exposed as much as a lot of these guys in the draft. I am looking forward to the challenge and being able to go up and make players against these NFL players. While at UAB I went through a few different QB’s and had a good running QB in Joe Webb so I feel I wasn’t able to display what I can do. I want to show everyone something special. I can’t wait to show the world what I can do and I give all the glory to god.

Scott Porter: What do you feel are your greatest strengths on the field?

Frantrell Forrest: I think my ability to get the deep ball and make the big play. I feel I am stronger and more physical than the average WR. Making the big play and going deep is really what I excel at.

Scott Porter: What type of person is an NFL team getting in Frantrell Forrest?

Frantrell Forrest: There really isn’t one word to describe me as a person. They will be getting a big time true playmaker who works his tail off. I will be out there catching the tough passes and making the big plays. I will give everything I got and more on and off the field.

Scott Porter: What is the toughest part about playing WR?

Frantrell Forrest: To me the toughest part about playing WR at UAB was that I was constantly double teamed. It can be very frustrating. It isn’t really hard but it makes things frustrating but it just makes you work harder and polish up your routes to find ways to get open in double coverage. Knowing you won’t get the ball because team’s game plan for you and stick two guys on you is tough on you. You just have to figure out ways to get the job done so that you can get the ball in your hands when they need you.

Scott Porter: Which NFL player reminds you of yourself?

Frantrell Forrest: There are a few guys that have similar styles as me. I always like to compare myself to Larry Fitzgearld. He has such a knack for going up and making the tough catch and has great hands. I also think Randy Moss because he has the ability to make the spectacular catch and is a major deep threat with good size.

Scott Porter: What are your goals for the NFL?

Frantrell Forrest: My goals are to get on somewhere, to turn heads early and make a ton of plays. A goal of mine is to win Offensive rookie of the year, and make an immediate impact to help a team win games. I want to go to the Pro Bowl and win a Super Bowl. I have never really won even in High School I didn’t come from a winning team so I am hoping a Super Bowl ring is in my future once I make it to the NFL and do all I can to help my team.

Scott Porter: What is something about Frantrell Forrest that most people don’t know?

Frantrell Forrest: I would say that most people don’t know that my mom battled and won three different types of cancer.
