Scott Porter: What type of a person is an NFL team getting in Kevin Brown?
Kevin Brown: They are getting a hard working person who will not take no for an answer. I do not sell myself short. I am always working to take my game to the next level. I feel I can always work harder to prepare myself each week. I am a team player and I am very dedicated.
Scott Porter: What do you feel are your biggest strengths?
Kevin Brown: I think my biggest strengths are that I play very physical on the field and that I have a great knowledge for the game. I understand the game very well and am well prepared each week.
Scott Porter: What goals do you have for the NFL?
Kevin Brown: My goals right now are to come in and be a consistent player while making an impact on an NFL team.
Scott Porter: What do you feel are your biggest football accomplishments?
Kevin Brown: I feel being blessed enough to play at the DI level is a nice accomplishment. Starting and making an impact at this level since my Sophomore season is also an accomplishment of mine.
Scott Porter: Who has been your biggest influence throughout your college career?
Kevin Brown: I would say my older brother. He got me interested in playing football at a young age. He is the reason why I have made it this far, he has had an influence on starting me and introducing me to the game. He never played after High School but he always watches me and encourages me.
Scott Porter: What will you miss most about college football?
Kevin Brown: I will miss the atmosphere and waking up on Saturday watching college game day and then going out and playing football the same day. I will miss staying in the hotel as a team preparing the night before for our game. I will miss the pregame walks and just being in the locker room with my teammates.
Scott Porter: What do you think will be the toughest transition from the college level to the NFL level?
Kevin Brown: You always hear the speed is much faster, but I think it will be much more cut throat in the NFL. You have to pick up things fast and adjust and learn things very quick.
Scott Porter: What will you be doing from now until the NFL draft to prepare yourself?
Kevin Brown: I will be doing whatever it takes to help my chance. I am training very hard right now, running harder, preparing as well as I can. I want to keep the edge on everything, and just fine tune all of my skills. I want to be well rounded going into the NFL. That includes eating well and sleeping well.
Scott Porter: What are your hobbies off the field?
Kevin Brown: I enjoy spending my time listening to music, watching movies. I just like to relax when I can to keep my mind right.
