Scott Porter: What type of a person is an NFL team getting in Ryan Hill?
Ryan Hill: Whatever team gets me is getting an honest person, who is very upfront and reliable. If you ask me something and I don’t know the answer, I will figure it out for you, because I don’t want to be asked the same question twice and not know the answer. I will figure it out for the next time. I am a very sincere person who will do whatever is asked of me. I treat people with a lot of respect.
Scott Porter: Who has been your biggest influence?
Ryan Hill: I would probably say myself. I have motivated myself and I have made myself a better person. I got away from where I came from and have become a very good person.
Scott Porter: What are your biggest strengths?
Ryan Hill: I feel my biggest strengths are that I am a different kind of DB then most cornerbacks. I have played cornerback, wide receiver and safety in my time at Miami. I am very physical, you will not find many more physical DB’s then myself. My ability to play press coverage better than most cornerbacks is a big strength of mine. I feel I was built for press coverage.
Scott Porter: What are your goals for the NFL?
Ryan Hill: My goals consist of becoming a solid NFL cornerback. The NFL has always been a dream of mine and now I have a chance to make it come true. I am not real flashy but I am very competitive. I want to be a high quality NFL player for many years.
Scott Porter: Is there a player(s) you mimic your game after in the NFL?
Ryan Hill: Yes, Darrell Revis of the Jets and Antrel Rolle of the Giants because they are so physical. I love to be physical.
Scott Porter: What is the toughest part about playing DB?
Ryan Hill: Covering for a large amount of time. As a DB you don’t know where they are going so it makes your position that much harder to cover. I would say that is the toughest part, covering for a large amount of time and having to guess or react to what is in front of you.
Scott Porter: What are your hobbies off the field?
Ryan Hill: I like to ride horses. I am into poetry and fixing cars. I like working on motors.
Scott Porter: What will you miss most about playing at Miami?
Ryan Hill: One thing that comes to mind is running out of the smoke before the home games at Miami.
